Who We Are
What is Lansing Michigan Stop The Violence?
We are an outreach ministry of Christ's Kingdom Builders Church (CKBIM) serving the people of the Lansing area by demonstrating a commitment to those in need (according to God’s will and purpose) positively impacting our community to create a better, safer place for all people to live.
We do this through direct "hands on" helping with physical needs such as food and clothing, as well as providing information, education and inspiration to people from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
Our Mission
Every year since 2020, Christ’s Kingdom Builders International Ministries has hosted the “Stop The Violence" concert at our church location at:
719 E Cesar Chavez Ave in Lansing, Michigan
This event provides encouragement for the mind, body & soul, and info & resources for people to connect to, within our Lansing community.
This year's event the theme will be “Shifting The Atmosphere."
The event is open to the public and will take place on November 21, 2026 at 3pm EST.
Tickets are:
Teens and Adults = $10
Supervised children (12 & under) = $5
As we respond to God's call, it is our belief that ministering through music, dance, guest speakers and compelling testimonies we will reach the youth and adults of this community, encouraging people that there are better ways to resolve conflicts than resorting to violence.
We also provide information about vital resources that are available in the community, such as emergency food, housing, education, scholarships, and employment to name a few.
The concert is a special event to promote putting an end to violence because we strongly believe that all life is sacred.

FAQ
frequently asked questions
SCHOLARSHIPS
Q)
Are the scholarships that STV promotes specifically for "people of color" or are they scholarships that people from any background, color or ethnicity may use?
A)
We would never offer anything that would exclude any ethnicity, race, skin color or background. There's only One Race: “Human.”
INCLUSION
Q) Is this event only about stopping violence against one group of people, or skin color?
A) We have a wide mixture of people in our area. This event is about addressing violence in our community for Everyone. This isn't a cultural event, it's a people event.
Q) When you say "our community" and "our young people" exactly what community are you referring to?
The Christian community?
Specifically our church community?
A) There's no exclusion regardless of who you are.
When we say “our community” we mean where we live and the surrounding areas, which consists of All ethnicities that live here as well as the children. Everyone that lives in the Lansing area is “Our Community” & “Our Young People.”
2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS
Q) Does any of this have anything to do with "gun control"? What are your views on the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution?
A) This is absolutely NOT about gun control. There's nothing political about the concert.
Besides, guns don't injure or kill people - people who operate them do. Just like using Knife, Fire, Car, Poison, Medical Chemicals or anything else they could possibly think of. Yet these things are not in Jeopardy.
Our take on the subject is that everyone has the right to protect themselves against an enemy, but not to be evil or malicious, because of hate.
Those are 2 completely different things.
SHIFTING THE ATMOSPHERE
Q) What exactly does "Shifting The Atmosphere" mean?
A) The shifting in the atmosphere is what God is doing to move the His believers in the direction which they should go, according to His will and purpose,
The atmosphere is about the Lord's will, the Lord's way, and His truth being done.
The shifting is going to be different for everyone, because people have different skills, purposes and assignments that are given to them.
Q) What is the current atmosphere, in your opinion?
A) The current atmosphere that we're living in right now is chaotic.
Q) What atmosphere are we shifting to?
A) We can't exactly answer the question of what the atmosphere is being shifted to because it is different for everyone. We believe we are in a time of elevating whatever God desires. Those who believe in God through faith in His son Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, and are living according to His purpose shall reap the benefits (those who do not will also reap their just reward from God, but they may not be very happy about it).
We are being given the opportunity to prepare ourselves to be ready for when Jesus returns.
Q) How does "shifting the atmosphere" relate directly to Lansing Michigan Stop The Violence?
(Or, how is God using Lansing Stop The Violence to shift the atmosphere in our community away from violence and toward God's will for people's lives?)
A) Well in order to change anything, the atmosphere that surrounds it should change.
The Lansing STV, Is a catalyst, to bring that atmospheric change to the people in real-time; by encouraging them to see and realize that there are different ways of doing things without hurting people - and also by us showing them love, compassion, joy, strength and unity.
And of course by sharing God's word to the people. During the concert we try to make sure that people are aware that God is involved in everything that we do. For those who choose to believe and apply it to their lives then God is pleased. For those who choose not to, they may or may not understand: that no matter what they do the consequences still belong to God because He's sovereign over all life (and ALL LIFE IS SACRED TO GOD!).
