"It's been 3 years I have been with STV.  It has been an eye opener.  Although crime rates are dropping.  That's how I know that our God is still in the Miracle working business.  We must continue to pray and fast, we must show more love than hate.

John 3:16 talks about how much God Loves us that he gave his only Son!  That's a Love that none of us can match.

Being a part of Lansing STV has shown me that we ALL can STOP THE VIOLENCE!!!
…with 2 words:  LOVE AND UNITY."

Elder DeShawn Sturdivant

"What Stop The Violence means to me is making an effort to either reduce or completely eliminate the violence in our communities and even our nation.  Too many men, women, boys and girls are now injured, handicapped or deceased behind violence - way before their time.  We need to make a change and try to save as many people as we can before it's too late!

How S.T.V. has impacted me is because I have lost people in my family to violence.  My sister Jamelah Elizabeth Davis was shot and killed January 6th, 2010 on Linval off of Baker St.  She was 17 years old at time and I took it hard because I never got a chance to really get to know her or have a relationship with her before she passed.

I feel that it's important to reach out to as many people as we can and encourage them to put down the weapons and start loving on one another, before we leave this world before it's our time."
