Experts including Advance Peace Lansing/Ingham initiative, Michigan State University (MSU) researchers and the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) note that victimization frequencies in the Lansing area remain higher than pre-pandemic levels. Additionally, in 2024, approximately 25% of fatal shootings were identified as "cyclical and retaliatory," suggesting deep-seated neighborhood conflicts still require intensive, long-term intervention.
Lansing Stop The Violence is here for the long haul, but we need partners to continue to expand our programs and initiatives in order to have a greater impact!
